The Old El Paso Frozen Entrées were something that I saw in the store before being given the opportunity to review the entreé of my choice. Since I said to myself, "There is no way that can be good" I waited a little while to work myself up for the dinner.
My boyfriend and I went to the store and saw a few different options. The two that looked the best to me were the Chicken Quesadillas and the Chicken Enchiladas since I was definitely in a chicken mood. There were several other choices with can be found on the Old El Paso website at http://www.oldelpaso.com. We ultimately decided on the Chicken Enchiladas.
The servings per container for this was two. We were happy with the amount of food that we had from this and more surprisingly is that each serving is 320 calories. How amazing is that?!
Now as far as the taste, since I was sure it was going to be a failure: the enchiladas were delicious! Justin made some bean dip and we had some tortillas and despite being on the boat, it tasted like a great Mexican dinner. The enchiladas had the same texture of many Mexican restaurants I have been to and never got soggy.
The amount of cheese was great. I am a cheese lover and these did not disappoint.
We agreed that we will be trying out other flavors of Old El Paso in the future because $7.99 is a great price to spend on Mexican food for two.
Which of the flavors would you be most willing to try? Have you tried other Old El Paso foods?
Old El Paso also has a Facebook page. If you want to see what they have to offer, please check them out. I am now liking their page.
