He tossed around the idea of a propane heater and, in return, I tossed around how I don't really want to die in a fiery explosion. So we went with the electric heating idea and found the perfect heater for our boat. It is an eight element infrared heater that seems to keep me toasty so far.
Then we had to get serious about insulating and getting it a little warmer without having to depend on the heater. We went back to Menards and bought some cedar planking, some insulating, furring strips, 2 by who knows whats, and some carpet and carpet pad.

The carpet still needs to be cut and attached to the tack strips, along with tossing more items into storage, but we are definitely getting it ready for winter and making it feel like home.
We need to add some color to the wood. The boyfriend wanted to paint it at first, but now we are thinking of just adding a clear coat so we can enjoy more wood. What would you do with the wood, paint it or keep it natural?
