I was pretty good at taking the children out and enjoying time with them each month. They have decided that Olive Garden is one of their favorite places to go. Right now I am enjoying Olive Garden's Chicken and Gnocchi soup so it works out well for me.
As far as budgeting goes, I have been a lot better. I still have not got my meals down to $20 a week, but I am a lot closer than I was at the beginning of 2012.
The blogging goal was a failure. I had the opportunity to work overtime from mid-January to July and I took advantage of it. That helped with budgeting quite a bit, but I fell even further behind with my goal of blogging. In the last week I think I have posted more than I did in the past 50 weeks.
I did not lose 50 pounds, but I did manage to keep 20 pounds off. It is a very slow process.
Church attendance did not spike. It is something I feel guilty about and always try to talk myself into getting up and ready. I hope one of these days I will get up, go to church, and learn something new and walk away with a feeling of happiness (sometimes I walk away shaking my head).
After buying the racquetball equipment, I never played a game. We ended up moving away from the apartment complex which had a court and I never looked up where they may be another one. The cross stitching had the same success as playing racquetball.
I will hope that this year is more successful!
How did you do on your New Year's Resolution? What are some pointers that you have to setting resolutions that you can keep?
